Your curriculum subscription's first year (the Initial Term) is non-refundable, but there is a specific 30-day window right around each renewal where a prorated refund is possible. This article explains exactly when that window is open, how much you'd get back, and what to do if you want to cancel before or after it.

How Curriculum Subscription Refunds Work

Your Initial Term is non-refundable

When you first subscribe to curriculum, you begin an Initial Term of one year (365 days). The Initial Term fee is non-refundable, and there is no prorated refund available for cancelling at any point during that first year, regardless of how much curriculum you've actually used.

Auto-renewal opens a 30-day refund window

Thirty days before your Initial Term ends — day 335 of your 365-day term — your subscription automatically renews. This charges the Renewal Term fee for your next year and, at the same time, opens early preview access to the upcoming year's content ahead of your official renewal date on day 365.

Those same 30 days are also your refund window. If you cancel at any point between the Renewal Term charge on day 335 and the Initial Term's actual end on day 365, you are eligible for a prorated refund of the Renewal Term fee, covering the unused months remaining in that new term. That refund is reduced by the value of any curriculum you downloaded or accessed during those 30 days beyond your Initial Term — calculated at roughly one-twelfth of your subscription fee per month of access.

Once day 365 passes without cancellation, the Renewal Term fee becomes fully non-refundable for the rest of that term, whether or not you go on to use the curriculum.

Common Variations and Exceptions

You cancel before day 335, before the Renewal Term charge. No refund applies, since nothing has been charged yet for the new term. Your Initial Term access continues through day 365, but you lose early preview access to the upcoming year's content immediately upon cancellation.

You cancel after day 365. The Renewal Term fee is non-refundable at that point. You can still cancel to stop future renewals, but the fee already charged for the current term will not be refunded.
